Who am i?

Hello, my name is Daniel. I am a public policy enthusiast who likes to think about big problems.

I earned my Bachelor’s of Science, Biology in 2017 from Nevada State College and my Masters in Public Policy from the University of Utah in 2020.

The more I think about why I love public policy and thinking about problems, the more I realize there are two mechanisms.

First, I really like the mental stimulation. Public policy is the highest stakes puzzle of all time and it is the most dynamic/complex. Fixing one problem can lead to unforeseen consequences in other policy areas.

Second, I really care about people, and shitty institutions and policies worsen people’s quality of life. 

Finally, my only interest in politics is trying to tie in as many coalitions as possible when thinking about solutions. Politicians who only care about elections or helping their in-group can pound sand.
